Does a heart event automatically establish a kratom claim?

No. A cardiac diagnosis and prior product use do not, by themselves, establish causation or liability. A review considers the specific event, product, dose and timing, medical history, testing, other substances, warnings, and opinions of qualified medical professionals.

Seek emergency care for chest pain, fainting, severe shortness of breath, an irregular heartbeat, or signs of cardiac arrest. This page is not medical advice.

Records that may be important

  • EMS rhythm strips, resuscitation notes, emergency and ICU records.
  • ECGs, cardiac enzymes, imaging, catheterization, and cardiology reports.
  • Toxicology and laboratory results.
  • Prior cardiac history, prescriptions, supplements, and other exposures.
  • Product packaging, remaining contents, receipts, label, and lot information.

Questions considered in a claim review

The review may examine temporal relationship, alternative causes, product ingredients or concentration, warnings, marketing, seller and manufacturer identity, and whether the medical evidence supports further causation analysis.

Preserve the full record

Do not discard the product or packaging. Keep purchase records and create a factual timeline, but do not guess about dose or causation. Medical and legal professionals should evaluate those issues from reliable evidence.
